While we were standing in line, a complete stranger offered us some coupons for a pizza, drinks and tokens. I was so surprised and thankful. We ordered the girls a pizza while hubby and I enjoyed the salad bar. I was appreciative of the great choices the salad bar had and there were lean protein sources available too. We were able to stay on plan even though we were at a pizza joint.
It is possible to eat well at some fast food joints also. Things you can do to stay on track:
1. Order salad with grilled chicken, dressing on the side.
2. Order a grilled chicken sandwich, no mayo, extra lettuce and tomato and only eat the bottom of the bun.
3. Order a kid size meal with apples and milk.
4. Skip french fries, milkshakes, soda, supersized, fried, breaded, etc.
I’d love to hear some of your tips on eating fast food. The best way to stay on plan is to stay home and cook dinner yourself.
Yesterday was great fun. Our family braved Chuck E’ Cheese. Thankfully there was only one birthday party going on and the place was pretty empty. I usually get a splitting headache from the noise level, but I was left unscathed.
